An extra competition for Adult Couples has been added to the programme for the Scottish Open Championships in Dumfries in October (16-20th)

While the general rules and regulations published in Ice Link Issue 55 still apply, the Technical Requirements for this new competition (No.53A ) are the same as those for the British Adult Championships 2004

( Class 1c Advanced).

Scottish Adult Couples Open Dance Competition

 Event No. 53 A:  Compulsory Dance and Free Dance

 

                  Compulsory Dances:     Rocker Foxtrot – 3 sequences.

                                                            Blues                – 3 sequences.

                  Free Dance                      2 minutes duration plus or minus 10 seconds.

Requirements:            Must include 2 spins, (minimum of 3 revolutions each) 1 of which must be in closed hold.

A maximum of 2 lifts may be included.

One step sequence either diagonal fully corner to corner or

anti – clockwise circular in dance hold ( not hand in hand ).

 

NB.  NO  MAXIMUM TEST STANDARD OR MAXIMUM AGE LIMITATIONS APPLY FOR THIS EVENT

GENERAL

1.         Step Sequence - Jumps, Spins, Stops and Pirouettes are not permitted during the step sequence.

2.         Factors - 0.2 per Compulsory Dance and 0.6 for the Free Dance.

3.         Music - Vocals permitted in Free Dance. ISU Rule 509 applies. Mini discs or CDs are preferred. Tapes will be accepted for non-Championship events only.

 

Entry Fee £35 per couple, payable to Ice Skate UK (Scotland ) Ltd.
